“Törtköz körpe” (“Four-eyed mat/blanket”) is a limited series of kazakh traditional patchwork pieces in three colorways: kök köz, sary köz and kúlgin köz. Körpes have always been an important piece of applied arts in Kazakh households. Just like any other forms of patchwork around the world, the universal tradition of reassembling things to give them new purpose continues throughout centuries. Törtköz körpe is a series of objects that explore cultural design in context of modern use.
